Lifting Equipment Ltd. has a full-time position available immediately. We have been in business for 35 years servicing the oil and gas industry in repair and inspection of cranes, lifting devices, and fall protection equipment.
The work entails inspection and repair of hoists, pullers, crane systems and other lifting devices. You will work in a two-man crew with a qualified journeyman senior technician, be trained in-house and travel in a company vehicle to differing locations within Alberta, BC and Sask. You will have your own room at night and receive a daily meal allowance. The company supplies coveralls, a hard hat, tools for the job etc. You will supply your own steel toed boots. The work is mostly out of town for one week to two weeks at a time and then returning back to Calgary. Lifting Equipment offers competitive wages based on work experience, plenty of overtime, a medical/dental benefit package and a year-end bonus. Lifting Equipment will indenture apprentices with the end goal of you becoming a Journeyman Millwright.
Your qualifications:
2nd to 4th Year Millwright apprentice
Mechanical aptitude is a requirement for this job
First-Aid and H2S Alive are require tickets for this job
Common Safety Orientation (CSO) is a preferred ticket
Job Tasks:
Assisting lead technician with inspections, repairs and maintenance of lifting equipment, fall protection equipment and rigging.
Assisting lead with driving the company vehicle to/from site, help the lead navigate when not driving.
Preparing/checking truck for supplies, equipment and consumables.
Cleaning and organizing tools and equipment.
Following the instructions of the lead technician and office staff.
