Apprentice Mechanic

Aeromag is a private-held company specializing in aircraft deicing, management of deicing centers as well as the recovery and recycling of deicing fluids. Established in numerous airports in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, Aeromag is recognized for its environmental innovations.

We are currently seeking a motivated mechanic to join our team as an Apprentice Mechanic at our Vancouver station. In this key role, the candidate will participate in ensuring that the fleet of deicing trucks and service vehicles is properly maintained and in good working order.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure the smooth operation of the deicing and service truck fleet.

Perform repairs on deicing and service trucks.

Ensure preventive maintenance of deicing and service trucks.

Ensure trucks are clean and in good working order.

Maintain all vehicles related to company operations.

Follow procedures and instructions.

Promptly report any anomalies or other problems to the Mechanical Manager.

Complete any documents or reports required for follow-up and maintenance.

Required Skills and Certifications

Must enjoy teamwork and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Conscientious about health and safety at work.

Candidate must own their own tools.

Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in the mechanical field.

Experience with heavy machinery, and/or electronic, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.

Completion and passing of a course in general mechanics, heavy vehicles, or site engines.

Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Valid driver's license.

*Candidates must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and an Airport Driving Permit (AVOP).

Salary Based on experience.
