Care Systems, a reputable HVAC and Building Controls contractor, is seeking a

1st Year or higher Apprentice HVAC Technician

to join our growing

Vernon division

. We specialize in commercial and light industrial projects, including HVAC controls, building automation, and energy management systems.

The Apprentice HVAC Technician will assist experienced HVAC technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position reports to the Service Manager and provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while progressing toward becoming a fully licensed HVAC Service Technician.

We're looking for a motivated individual with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems Support the installation of ductwork, piping, and electrical components Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment on job sites Communicate effectively with customers and team members Maintain a clean and organized work area Attend training sessions to further knowledge and technical skills

Requirements

Registration in a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Apprenticeship Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transportation Availability Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Occasional overtime and Oncall rotation may be required) Willingness to work out of town when necessary Commitment to following all Occupational Health and Safety regulations Must be willing to undergo a criminal record check if required

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights (ladders, scaffolding, rooftops) Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions Use of hand and power tools requiring fine motor skills Physical stamina for repetitive and physically demanding tasks

Based on experience and apprenticeship level

Pay: $26.42-$35.22 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
