Position: Apprentice Electrician

Locations: Red Deer, Eckville, Sylvan Lake

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation Package:

Hourly Wage: Competitive hourly wage with incremental increases as you progress in your apprenticeship.

Vacation Pay: 10% of base rate, consisting of 6% Vacation Pay and 4% Statutory Pay.

Retirement Savings Plan (RSP): 5% of base hourly rate, calculated on base rate.

Matching RSP Program: 2% of base hourly rate, calculated on base rate.

Employer-Paid Benefit Program: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Employer-Paid Training: Continuous professional development opportunities.

Clothing Allowance: Annual allowance for work-related clothing.

Required PPE: Provided by the company, excluding work boots.

Position Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and motivated Apprentice Electricians to join our team and learn alongside our experienced professionals. The applicant to work out of town on a project basis for extended periods of time in additional to significant local work. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working on diverse projects and expanding your skill set. The Apprentice Electrician will work under the guidance of Journeyman Electricians and participate in all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Journeyman Electricians in various tasks, including installation, troubleshooting, and repairs. Learn and apply electrical concepts, codes, and regulations on the job. Gain practical experience in reading blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times. Participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to enhance skills. Perform tasks assigned by Journeyman Electricians to support project goals.
Qualifications:

Enrolled in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program. Basic understanding of electrical systems and components. Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Physical capability to perform manual tasks and work in different environments. Valid driver's license (preferred but not required).
