Overview of Position:
Under the direction of a Red Seal journeyman electrician, the incumbent will primarily be responsible for assisting the journeyman electrician on all worksites. Candidates must be able to assist on projects in an efficient, effective, and safe manner. The apprentice should have diverse experience in all fields residential, commercial, and industrial. Must be willing and able to work out of town on a 14/7 or 21/7 rotation.
The apprentice electrician must have a strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace, ensuring they perform their duties in accordance with Cobra Enterprises Ltd.'s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with work on all electrical industrial and commercial sites
Exposure to blueprints or technical diagrams is an asset
Assist with the installation and maintenance of wiring systems
Bending and installing conduit
Install, maintain, and/or repair electrical wiring equipment
Installing electrical apparatus, equipment, and fixtures
Complying strictly with Electrical Code and local building regulations
Carrying out plans for electrical wiring for well-functioning electrical systems.
Clean and maintain site facilities and equipment.
Gather all supplies and tools at the end of the day and ensure that they are put away in a safe and accessible place.
Follow instructions, acquire necessary supplies, and assist the supervisor with each project.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Diverse experience in residential, commercial, and industrial
Appropriate credentials and certifications for 1st level construction electrician apprentice.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Other Qualifications:
Proven abilities, and strong organization skills in completing the task assigned.
Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Strong attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Work conditions:
Travel Apprentices are working primarily on the road within Manitoba and Ontario but some work onsite at our Beausejour location may be needed during slow periods. Ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours, overtime as required.
