Electrical Apprentices (Level 2-4)

Position Summary:



The Electrical Apprentice (Level 2-4) will assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems under the supervision of a Journeyperson Electrician.
This role requires frequent travel to remote job sites and the ability to work independently in varying environments while maintaining MAKA Power's high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in the installation of electrical systems, conduit, wiring, panels, and controls in commercial and industrial settings. Support the maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and power distribution equipment. Interpret and work from electrical blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and site-specific safety procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project planning discussions. Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper documentation of materials and progress. Travel to remote work sites as required (accommodations and transportation provided).

Qualifications:



Registered

Electrical Apprentice (Level 2-4)

in good standing. Minimum 2 years of field experience in

commercial or industrial

electrical work. Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and general electrical practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Valid Class 5 driver's license with reliable transportation. Comfortable working in remote locations for extended periods. Physically fit and able to meet the demands of construction environments. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Preferred Skills:



Experience with conduit bending, cable tray installation, and motor control circuits. Familiarity with PLCs, instrumentation, and power distribution systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Capable of working with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality.
