About the Role:



As an Apprentice Electrician, you will be a key contributor to the building, electrical integration, and troubleshooting of custom industrial equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. Working closely with the Electrical Department Supervisor and Team Leads, you will help ensure production projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities



Read and follow blueprints, checklists, and technical documentation. Assist with calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting machines, as well as conducting necessary repairs. Wire and build control test panels. Integrate control panels into machines. Repair electrical equipment and electrical panels. Assist with electrical maintenance within LJ Welding Automation buildings. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, complying with all PPE and hazard analysis requirements. Manage inventory and support production and service operations. Conduct quality control checks and confirm all components are present. Identify and report non-conformances (NCRs). Contribute to process improvement and problem-solving initiatives. Support other team members as required.

Desired Skills & Qualifications



Completed (or be enrolled to complete) applicable periods of classroom instruction at an accredited apprenticeship program. Completed applicable periods of on-the-job instruction hours in conjunction with classroom instruction. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Initiative-taking, meticulous, and capable of sound decision-making. Effective communication and organizational skills. Familiarity with shop technology and management tools. Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and fall protection equipment.
