PM Electric primarily serves the oil and gas industry, with expertise in retail gas bars, bulk plants, commercial building projects, and lighting services.

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and willing to learn and grow within the trade.

Key Responsibilities

Cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduit and other types of electrical enclosures and fittings Pull wire through conduit, walls, and floors Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including distribution and control equipment (e.g., switches, relays, breaker panels, and fuse enclosures) Install data cabling Splice, join, and connect wires to form circuits Test circuits for continuity, integrity, and safety

Qualifications & Requirements

Commitment to a positive safety culture and understanding of applicable procedures and practices Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Physical strength and stamina Ability to distinguish colors (for color-coded wiring) Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Willingness to work out of town as required Available for a standard 40-hour, five-day workweek, with overtime as needed

Preferred Experience

While preference will be given to candidates with relevant electrical or industrial experience, we are open to applicants from all apprenticeship levels. We welcome individuals with practical, hands-on experience -- including those who may have developed skills in unconventional settings such as farms, workshops, or mechanical environments.

Compensation

Starting wage: $20.00/hour + 10% holiday pay Wage negotiable based on apprentice level, experience and skill set

Eligibility

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application. We are not currently able to sponsor work visas or international applicants.
