Apprentice Electrician Edmonton, AB Who are we? Kuby Renewable Energy Ltd is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, with locally operated offices in Calgary, and Kamloops, BC. We seek to advance Canada\'s energy industry and economy while reducing society\'s environmental impact. We do this by implementing solar power and renewable technology. It is paramount that the transition towards a wind and solar power-based society not only provides environmental benefits but creates jobs and positive social change and is economically beneficial for homeowners, business owners, and all parties involved. What do we do? We focus our business on the design and installation of residential and commercial solar projects, energy storage, Tesla Powerwall installation, electric vehicle (EV) Chargers, off-grid solar, as well as general electrical services. What do we require of you?

• Must be willing to work in outdoor conditions, on roofs, in restricted spaces and be able to lift 50 lbs in awkward positions with proper safe work procedures in place.
• Residential or commercial construction experience
• Must be familiar with the use of hand and power tools
• Mechanical aptitude with the manual dexterity to complete complex tasks
• Valid Class 5 driver\'s license and willing to provide a driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract
• CSTS and Fall Protection
• Proven safe work record and clean drivers abstract
• High school diploma (or equivalent)

What would be nice for you to have?

• Registered as an Alberta Apprentice Electrician ( We will consider 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th year apprentices and are willing to indenture applicants with trades experience)
• Experience working at heights, on roofs, and with ladders
• Alternative Energy Technology Diploma
• Solar PV experience (in-class or hands-on)
• Experience working on small teams

Job Duties include but are not limited to.

• Interpret engineered drawings
• Install solar modules on roofs/structures
• Interconnect electrical wires and devices
• Improve procedures and practices through critical thinking and problem-solving
• Residential service upgrades
• Drive class 5 vehicles
• Other duties as required
