We are seeking a 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice who is looking for an opportunity to work with a young and growing company in our residential and commercial division. The work sites and service locations include Edmonton and the surrounding area. The successful candidate will have strong communications and interpersonal skills that allow him or her to successfully develop positive relationships with our staff and clients. The ability to work independently and in a team environment is also required. Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills are a necessity to troubleshoot modern electrical devices. A strong background in electrical residential and commercial construction will be an asset.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications Performance of all tasks related to site or building electrical system installation, maintenance, and repair Maintain service tools and equipment as required and directed. Perform administrative work as required such as completion of work orders, time sheets, and site notes Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of electrical systems and practices Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager from time to time based on needs, training, knowledge, and capabilities.
Requirements:

Be a registered Electrical Apprentice with a recognized provincial training authority Previous electrical experience in construction Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques Valid driver license, clean abstract, and reliable vehicle to get to work Current First Aid, Fall Protection, Aerial Platform, and CSTS certification Able to work independently with minimal direction and respond to emergency situations A modern smartphone in good working order with a data plan Hand and small power tools in good working order Conversant with all safety, fire, OH&S and building codes Relationship Skills - Ability to communicate effectively and professionally utilizing computer, oral and written skills. Ability to develop and sustain good working relationships with staff, clients, and public Organizational/Multi-Task Skills - Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, adapt to new ideas
Wage:

Hourly wage will be competitive within the industry and based on experience.

Pay: $27.30-$31.20 per hour
