JARVIS Manufacturing is a custom fabrication shop specializing in design, machining, welding, and material processing. We build everything from simple structures to complex assemblies. We're a small, hands-on team that values problem solvers who take initiative and pride in their work.

The Role

We're looking for a motivated

Apprentice CWB Welder

who's eager to grow their skills in a dynamic, custom-fabrication environment. You'll support our team in taking projects from drawings to finished parts, working alongside experienced fabricators while learning advanced welding and fitting techniques.

This role is hands-on and varied -- some days you'll be welding, other days you'll assist with fabrication, prepping material, or helping with shop tasks. Attitude matters: we want someone who shows initiative, asks questions, and is excited to learn from senior tradespeople.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

Current

CWB apprentice welder

or working toward CWB certification Basic proficiency in

MIG

,

Metal Core

, or

Flux-core

welding Ability to read and understand basic fabrication drawings Understanding of fundamental welding symbols and measurements Willingness to learn how to fit, tack, and assemble welded parts Ability to take direction and ask for help when needed A positive attitude and strong work ethic Team-oriented mindset -- willing to jump in wherever needed

Nice-to-Have Assets

Experience with shop equipment such as saws, grinders, drills, or basic machining/forming tools Exposure to custom fabrication work (school, co-op, previous job, or hobby projects) Interest in developing into a senior fabricator/welder Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Mechanical aptitude or hands-on project experience
