We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various carpentry and construction trades, providing a solid foundation for a career in the building industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in woodworking, construction, and related skills, with opportunities to develop expertise across multiple areas including blueprint reading, concrete forming, restoration, cabinet installation, and more. Responsibilities
Assist experienced carpenters with framing, siding, roofing, and general construction tasks
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed
Participate in cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and woodworking projects
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision
Assist with construction painting, caulking, and finishing work to ensure quality standards
Support plumbing and electrical tasks as part of integrated project teams
Help with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure project efficiency
Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment
Experience
Prior experience or familiarity with construction or maintenance person work is a plus but not required
Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, or CNC machining is advantageous
Experience with masonry, flooring installation, siding, or roofing is beneficial
Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools in a construction setting is preferred
Basic understanding of construction estimating or manufacturing processes can be helpful
Strong willingness to learn new skills related to carpentry and general construction tasks
This position offers valuable on-the-job training in diverse aspects of carpentry and construction trades. Candidates should be prepared for physical activity including heavy lifting and working at various heights or confined spaces.
