Provide a safe work environment

Promote safety Awareness

Conform to governing authority legislation (OH&S, WCB, Local Bi-Laws, Etc)

Ensure hazard assessments and action plans are completed as required

Enforce safe work procedures and practices at work sites

Enforce company safety rules.

Ensure the required PPE is available and being used.

Maintain preventative maintenance program

Conduct on site safety meeting or training as required.

Completion of Foreman reports for construction locations throughout the day.

Completion safety inspections, Ensure unsafe conditions and actions are corrected.

Completion of Inspections for equipment used on locations or delegation of inspection completion.

Conduct accident/ incident investigations

Develop site specific emergency plan.

Lead by example

Perform tasks involving physical labour at construction projects

Position, join, align and seal structural components such as wall sections

Operational of hand and power tools of all types and a variety of other equipment and instruments.

May clean and prep sites, dig trenches, set braces, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris.

Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.

Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed.

Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities

Maintain the preventative Maintenance program

Conduct on site safety training as required.

Identify, pack, and transport hazardous materials.

Load and unload equipment from trucks

Drive trucks carrying materials and equipment from warehouse to sites

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Experience:

carpentry: 2 years (required)
