Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals enrolled in the carpentry apprenticeship program. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced carpenters, gaining hands-on experience and learning essential skills in various aspects of carpentry and construction. This role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist skilled carpenters in construction, installations, and repairs as directed Learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Participate in framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, window installation, siding, roofing and decks Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications Ensure compliance with safety standards on construction sites Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Skills

Basic knowledge of construction principles and practices Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry Experience with frame carpentry, trim carpentry, siding and door installation is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting as required on job sites Knowledge of metal stud framing, flooring installation, renovation, and maintenance person skills is advantageous Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately Willingness to learn new skills in various areas of construction Previous experience on construction sites or in the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory.
