Overview

Hodges Homes is a growing renovation company in Kamloops BC. We are currently looking for a individual who is interested in all aspects of carpentry. We specialize in full scale renovations; from demolition to finishing carpentry.

As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced carpenters to learn and develop skills in various aspects of carpentry. This position offers hands-on training and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the construction and renovation industry.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Utilize power tools and hand tools under supervision
- Gain knowledge in various carpentry tasks such as demo, framing, siding, concrete forming, windows and doors, finishing carpentry and fencing

Qualifications

- Basic understanding of carpentry principles
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe usage

- Great work ethic, integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced carpenters
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Valid class 5 drivers licence required with access to vehicle

Hours of operation are currently 10 hour days Tuesday-Friday

Benefits and tool allowance after 3 month probation

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
