Applications Engineer, Wastewater Treatment



Applications Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force and are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. Working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Applications Engineer must be able to create and deliver reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Applications Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare the designs, costing, and proposals for wastewater treatment equipment suitable for customer needs. Review tender documentation, including specifications and drawings. Prepare bid documents including pre-qualification, costing, and technical requirements. Provide support to the sales team during the bidding process. Manage bidding and proposal schedules and deadlines. Support the detailed design process and final submittals preparation. Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company-approved databases. Provide input to the product development process. Maintain an adept understanding of product knowledge and application. Maintain professional business relationships with consultants, end-users, integrators, and distributors. Actively listen to, understand, and help convey customer requirements. Verify customer project needs (regulatory, capacity, etc.). Refine process design tools to increase accuracy and efficiency. Occasional travel may be required. Other duties as reasonably assigned.

Required Qualifications



BS degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Civil or Mechanical). 2+ years of experience in applications engineering or a related field, preferably within wastewater treatment. Strong understanding of SBR, RBC, MBR, MBBR, DAF, Extended Aeration Systems, and chemical feed systems is an asset. Knowledge of water treatment is a bonus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for learning to complete complex RFQ requirements. Excellent organizational skills. Experience using CRM systems (such as Salesforce) considered an asset. Proficient with MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel). Experience with BioWin and/or CAD preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
