COMPANY

AIC is a leading supplier of heat exchangers, and custom designed heating and cooling equipment. The sales and distribution headquarters are located in Oakville, Ontario.

POSITION SUMMARY

A position is currently open for an

APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

to join the AIC team.

In this position, you will be an integral part of our team and will be responsible for enhancing and extending the sales team's ability to complete customer requests in a timely manner.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Develop and prepare customer quotes for heat exchangers, Review customer requests for quotes, Review customer specifications and/or review customer parts, Interpret drawings and other customer documents, Develop customer design specifications, Coordinate development of design specifications with customer, Coordinate development of design drawings with customer and sales team, Generate and modify drawings using AutoCAD software for new and existing products, Provide technical service to customers and representatives relating to company's operation and maintenance, Provide customer support by phone and on the customer site if needed, Participate in company special projects when requested, Working with sales team to ensure on-time project completion.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or other related technical major.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of heat exchangers, thermal transfer, and fluid dynamics is an asset Strong computer skills are a must, and the ability to quickly learn new programs Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills (English). Other languages would be beneficial but not mandatory Strong proficiency with AutoCAD/REVIT, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat. Aspentech B Jac would be an asset. Self-starter and able to communicate and interact with people at all levels Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail Highly self-motivated and results-oriented Use initiative to provide customer service assistance Exceptional organization skills Ability to recognize and analyze problems, develop, implement and carry out solutions Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects coordinating priorities with team members

COMPENSATION

Starting Salary of $70,000 per annum.
