Provide technical support in person or over the phone to customers, sales, and trade shows for CNC Machines. Complete time studies, test cuts and machine demonstrations.

Design and fabricate fixtures/ work holding to facilitate the test cutting process.
Define and troubleshoot manufacturing/machining processes.
Perform application engineering work independently and set priorities with knowledge of company goals.
Design and fabricate fixtures/ work holding for demo's, test cuts, and turnkeys.
Define and troubleshoot complex manufacturing/machining processes.
Conduct time estimates for customer parts with 10% tolerance.
Use CAPPS conversational programming, industry standard CAM systems, and direct G-Code/ Macro programming to generate CNC programs for parts processing.
Setup CNC machines with program, tooling, workpiece, and fixtures including 5-axis and mill-turn.
Inspection of finished parts for quality and accuracy.
Generate engineering proposals for process and turnkey applications.
Generate engineering reports and technical documentation.
Minimum Requirements
Strong written/verbal communication skills.
Knowledge in part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, reading drawings, and machine setup.
Intermediate understanding of Metallurgy.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Professionally communicate with varying levels of internal technical staff, external customers, and external suppliers.
Proven flexibility with shifting priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Proven organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
Strong analytical/problem solving abilities.
Travel to customer/distributor locations and trade shows as needed. Occasional need for international occasionally travel.
Proficient with one CAM System, G-Code, and Macro programming
Broad knowledge of cutting tools with the ability to calculate optimal speeds and feeds.
Broad & in-depth knowledge of part inspection devices and techniques.
Broad & in-depth knowledge of at least one machine control system.
Broad & in-depth knowledge of at least one machining platform.
Valid "G" driver's license.
Able to lift 25 lbs.
Qualifications
Licensed Machinist/Tool & Diemaker or BS Mechanical Engineering with machining knowledge.
5+ years related experience with progressive development.
Experience in part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, and machine setup.
Work Environment
Spends time at customer sites in a manufacturing environment and at the DMG MORI Canada Technical Centre. Exposure to possible hazards including but not limited to high noise, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery. Some National and International travel may be required for training or trade shows.
Physical Demands
: Traveling, operating a vehicle, sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones, standing and walking.
Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.

Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
