Job Description

Quik's Farm Ltd. is a wholesale cut flower grower based in Chilliwack, BC, with over twenty acres of indoor and an additional twenty acres of seasonal outdoor growing space. Quik's Farm is geared towards the intense production of cut Chrysanthemums, Oriental Lilies, Alstroemeria, and other seasonal crops utilizing state-of-the-art growing systems and leading-edge technology to produce high quality products for our diverse customer base throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA.

We are seeking a highly motivated Application Solution Architect to support, design and implement technology solutions that support our business objectives and ERP transformation in our Floral Production Facility. This role will focus on creating scalable, integrated applications within the Microsoft ecosystem and future-state ERP platform to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity. The position will report to the ERP Project Manager and the CEO during the ERP implementation project lifecycle with the position transitioning to a sustainment role post implementation as the Application Solution Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:



Solution Design & Architecture: Develop application architecture that meets technical and business requirements. Ensure seamless integration between the ERP solution, Microsoft tools, and third-party applications. Ensure hardware, software, and networks work together to meet organizational goals. ERP & Microsoft Ecosystem: Provide guidance on ERP system selection, IT infrastructure readiness assessment, integration plan review, integration points identified, configuration and customization requirements support, and data quality and data migration plan design. Design workflows and business rules to support end-to-end production and inventory processes. Create and refine technical specifications to support the ERP project team. Provide testing, end-user training, and technical support for deployed solutions. Technical Leadership: Collaborate with developers and project teams to implement low-code/no-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate). Optimize system performance, scalability and reliability, and troubleshoot technical issues. Process Automation: Identify automation opportunities across inventory, order management, and production tracking. Documentation & Training: Prepare technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and user documentation. Support testing, training, and post-deployment improvements. Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and scalability, ensuring solutions are efficient, reliable, and capable of accommodating future growth. Implement enhancements based on feedback and operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications & Requirements:



Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science or equivalent field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered. 4-5 years of hands-on experience in system development on Microsoft Ecosystem. Familiarity with ERP systems and integration strategies. Experience with ready-made programming solutions and low-code/no-code platforms. Proven expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) Experience with business process modeling and documentation tools. Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Experience in the manufacturing or production industry, ideally in horticulture/floriculture production or similar operations. Knowledge of inventory management, order processing, or supply chain systems.

Technical Skills:



Programming, networking, system design and leadership Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of APIs and system integrations and Windows-based environments. Strong understanding of Windows-based environments. Knowledge of databases (e.g. SQL, Microsoft Data verse) would be an added advantage.

Soft Skills:



Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
This position may require you to work on Saturdays and Statutory holidays. There will be no Sunday work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $37.00-$42.00 per hour
