We are Hiring for Application/Software Architect (Systems Architect) Position for Ottawa Location

Work type: Contract and Hybrid

Exp: 15+ Years

The Contractor's resource must provide the services of a Subject Matter Expert in Systems of

Systems (SoS) requirements. These tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

a. Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, either for an organization

or for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements;

b. Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution;

c. Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems;

d. Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions;

e. Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry

directions for technology;

f. Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision

flows;

g. Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document database content,

structure, and application sub-systems, and develop data dictionary;

h. Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application

sub-systems, to external systems and between new and existing systems;

i. Define input/output sources, including detailed plan for technical design phase, and

obtain approval of the system proposal;

j. Identify and document system specific standards relating to programming,

documentation and testing, covering program libraries, data dictionaries, naming

conventions, etc.;

k. Lead the technical vision related to Land C4ISR capabilities;

l. Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies to meet LC4ISR system

and/or System-of-Systems (SoS) requirements;

m. Analyze, design and implement LC4ISR system and SoS architectures;

n. Design, develop and assess technical solutions to address complex LC4ISR system

and/or SoS issues;

o. Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet LC4ISR system and/or

SoS problems;

p. Ensure the integration of all aspects of LC4ISR system and/or SoS solutions;

q. Recommend options for resolving LC4ISR system and/or SoS design issues;

r. Update and evolve the LC4ISR System Breakdown Structure;

s. Define and document interfaces within LC4ISR subsystems, to external systems and

between new and existing systems;

t. Produce, document and manage system architectural designs and guidance, with

contributions from across all engineering and support disciplines, to achieve

comprehensive LC4ISR system and/or SoS implementation;

u. Responsible for the development, the integration, the validation and the verification of

all hardware and software components within the scope of all project and Equipment

Management Teams (EMT) in DLCSPM 4.

v. SoS level architecture for LC4ISR systems;

w. System requirements gathering for complex systems;

x. System level architecture for C2 communication and information systems within a

distributed platform environment;

y. System level architecture for C2 communication and information system, within a

Client/Server environment;

z. Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, Reconnaissance (ISTAR) System level

architecture for military C4ISR systems; and/or Data architecture definition and

implementation;

aa. Identifying, analyzing and resolving complex communication and information

systems;

bb. Analyzing, designing and/or implementing solutions for communication and

information systems on all associated WLS platforms and related projects;

cc. Developing and documenting tools and processes for C2 communication and

information systems associated with sensor platforms or within a client/server

associated environment;

dd. Developing, designing and maintaining test beds, and test procedures; and

ee. System integration, verification and validation, for hardware and software

components (Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) and/or custom developed) in new or

existing WLS platforms and related projects.
