APPLICATION PROGRAMMER (.NET)

We're looking for a seasoned and adaptable Application Programmer (.NET) with

at least 5 years

of practical, hands-on development experience, especially in .NET technologies, who brings value from having worked across a variety of settings. The ideal candidate has exposure to independent and team-based projects, and has operated in agency, or consultancy environments, bringing a well-rounded perspective and adaptability to different working styles.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise .NET-based applications with a strong focus on performance, security, and scalability.

Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring exceptional attention to detail in both logic and implementation.

Collaborate with stakeholders--including business users, project managers, and other engineers--to define and deliver features that meet user needs and technical standards.

Contribute across all phases of the software development lifecycle--from analysis to deployment and post-release support.

Requirements:

Location:

o Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and currently residing in Canada.

o Will be working full-time in our one of the offices in Winnipeg, MB or Brandon, MB

Experience:

o 5+ years in software development, with hands-on experience building and maintaining enterprise applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Web API).

o Proficiency in front-end technologies including JavaScript/TypeScript and in at-least one of the modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Blazor).

o Strong experience with SQL Server or other relational databases; NoSQL exposure is an advantage.

o Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures (preferably Azure), microservices, and distributed systems.

o Proven ability to apply software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, version control (Azure DevOps), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Experience

o Ability to manage and deliver features independently, with minimal oversight.

o Demonstrated success in collaborative, agile, cross-functional team environments.

o Hands-on experience working in remote/distributed teams.

o Exposure to the fast-paced, client-driven nature of agency or consultancy work.

o Comfortable working on both long-term system evolution and rapid-turnaround features.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
