We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Application Developer to assesses, designs, develops, configures and implements the application/infrastructure solutions to support the business requirements to meet customer expectations. Collaborates with stakeholders across OLG to ensure that the application/infrastructure solution designs and developments drive the desired business results. .
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Technology Product Owner - Fraud & AML , you will be empowered to:Develops the application, data and infrastructure assessment and design in accordance to business requirements
Conducts the design, configuration, development of new applications/infrastructure solutions
Conducts changes required to existing systems (e.g. upgrade/new releases, optimization)
Develops and configures integrations in addition to conducting unit testing and technical fixes during subsequent
testing etc.Develops and deploys proof of concepts, prototypes and evaluates opportunities to leverage agile methodologies
and toolsDevelops and maintains code and configuration repositories to ensure code is centrally monitored/managed
Support the change and release management process (ITIL) including defining release strategy & associated task
planning for change projects, service readiness & acceptance and service transitionProvides tier three (3) application support, including on call support as required to ensure that issues are resolved in
a timely mannerIdentifies potential solution risks/issues and escalates/communicates to relevant key stakeholders
(business/technology/vendors) to ensure a mitigation strategy is developedPrepares documentation and other relevant information to transition to the operate team for business as usual
Lead deployment of new releases for both inhouse and vendor developed products on all environments
Deliver resolution of reported issues within defined SLA and customer centric manner
Leverage proactive monitoring tools to monitor application health & develop dashboards providing insights into overall application behavior and performance.
Support automating the CICD pipeline.
Co-ordinate DRP and FRP activities for applications
Work collaboratively within an Agile environment.
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAYWork Experience: Minimum six (6) years' progressive experience in medium to large Technology environments including experience in within Technology or related function Minimum of four (4) years' experience in solution
application/infrastructure design, development and/or delivery Providing Subject Matter Expertise and/or guidance to the team Experience Coaching and mentoring junior support developersKnowledge: Full stack developer with experience deploying applications built on back-end technologies such as Java, .NET Core and front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) Backend development experience with both compiled and interpreted languages like java and python and associated frameworks (e.g. sprintboot, Python FastAPI) Understanding of scripting technologies and willingness to upskill Experience working with Relational database(Microsoft Sql, MySql, Sybase, DB2) as well as NoSql technologies Understanding of Restful APIs and API gateway concepts Understanding of API documentation tools like Swagger or API Blueprint. Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms like OAuth 2.0 or JWT, SAML, Active Directory Understanding of operating systems(Linux, Unix, Windows) and networking concepts & common networking protocols (TCP/UDP/MQTT). Experience in building out CI/CD Pipelines and tools such as Gitlab, Github, Jenkins, OctopusDeploy Experience/understanding of Automated build/deploy process and experience with the DevSecOps/Agile methodology Experience with agile tools such as Jira/ Confluence etc. Practical experience in software design patterns including security, secure coding principles, public/private key cryptography and certificates, encryption, etc Experience with major cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS/Google cloud Basic experience of using AI assisted software engineering tools and agents and prompt engineering techniques for various software engineering tasksCritical Skills: Relationship Management Problem Solving Decision Making and Critical Thinking Team Orientation Planning: Tactical and StrategicNegotiation and Influence: ability to negotiate and influence effectively while being open to perspectives and maintaining strong relationshipsStrategic Thinker: strong strategic and critical thinker with ability to delve into unique challenges and find creative solutionsCollaboration & Fun: inclusive and collaborative work style while creating fun and excitement in our workIntegrity and Trust: do what's right and operate with transparency and openness
