Position - Application Designer/Developer

Location - Victoria BC / Remote

Contract length - 6+ months

The Application Designer/Developer Level 2 is technology specialists that can demonstrate in their submitted examples that they have successfully planed and managed technical design, development, and implementation of new and/or enhanced complex projects, and that they reported to the senior project manager and had individuals performing functions at a senior technical level reporting directly to them. Application Designer/Developer at Level 2 have expert knowledge of chosen technology, its integral components and can plan, lead, and otherwise undertake the development of a solution.

An Application Designer/Developer Level 2 is responsible for determining the suitability of a framework and for defining the best possible implementation. An Application Designer/Developer is expected to lead unit, integration, and system tests to evaluate development outcomes, ensure conformity with user client needs and promote system reliability.

An Application Designer/Developer Level 2 is responsible for determining the suitability of a framework and for defining the best possible implementation. An Application Designer/Developer is expected to lead unit, integration, and system tests to evaluate development outcomes, ensure conformity with user client needs and promote system reliability.

In addition to the skills and experience set out above, the Proponents should demonstrate that the proposed Consultant(s) have the following additional skills and experience:

a) Minimum 5 years\' experience (within the last 10 years) in the design, development, and maintenance of an automation framework of automated test related to the delivery of large, complex, or transformational projects.

b) Minimum 3 years\' experience (within the last 10 years) with cross-browser testing, functional, stress/performance, security testing of multi-tiered web applications.

c) Minimum 2 years\' experience (within the last 5 years) with platform/system post-upgrade testing.

d) Degree or diploma in computer science or a related field, demonstrated ongoing learning activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

e) Providing effective software development and operational practices in DevOps context

f) Solid experience with the following technologies: JavaScript, Cypress, Node.js, RESTful APIs, Git, GitHub and GitHub Actions

g) Strong experience with relational databases

h) Experience with OIDC and Single Sign-on scenario analysis and testing

i) addressing changes to shifting requirements based on product owner, team, and user feedback.

j) Advising and mentoring team members

k) Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated experience communicating effectively to a broad range of stakeholders.

Job Types : Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length : 6-8 months

Salary: Up to $110.00 per hour
