Job Description


The Application Developer position contributes primarily to the success of the change management, request and incident management, software development, and software quality procedures. The developer\'s primary role is to program and implement software solutions, including changes at the data warehouse level. Additional responsibilities include: business requirement gathering, creating and deploying reports; writing relational and multidimensional database queries; and creating, deploying and maintaining SQL jobs; integrating data from many different data sources into a storage system optimized for reporting and analysis. This requires knowledge of databases, cubes, client tools for analysis, web applications, and notification systems.

Qualifications

1. Software Development: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ASP.NET MVC, C#, .NET, Visual Studio, Python, VBA
2. Database Development: SQL Server 2012+, and the related BI tools
3. Software Quality: Microsoft Test Manager, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Defect Management, test automation
frameworks and tools, validation concepts
4. Process: Team Foundation Server, Git Source Control, Strong communication skills, thoughtful and thorough analysis
and proposals, strong writing skills
5. Education: College Diploma or University degree in Computer Sciences or Software Engineering
6. Experience: Software Development in a scientific/medical setting is a bonus
