JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Application Developer - Data Infrastructure.

Reporting to the Section Manager, Project Data & Reporting, within the Data Infrastructure department, the Application Developer - Data Infrastructure, is responsible for supporting OPG\'s Information Systems and programs enterprise wide, including enhancement and upgrades of data infrastructure applications and data systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where you will contribute to OPG\'s public outreach, engagement and education efforts as part of the company\'s commitment to growing its social license.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide support for project management, technical leadership and system expertise to projects and teams involved in the design, development and deployment of advanced project management information systems or tools.
• Carry out design, development, implementation and maintenance activities on TIBCO EBX and data warehouses.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or relevant Engineering discipline

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 to 8 years of specific experience: Proficiency in Master Data Management (MDM) foundational and data modeling concepts and experience implementing MDM using TIBCO EBX
• Hands-on experience with the following is highly preferred:

• Building MDM domains in TIBCO EBX
• Developing Object Oriented multi-tiered web applications (in Java or C#), JavaScript and HTML
• Developing T-SQL scripts for an integrated MSBI data warehouse

• Working experience with the following would be considered an asset:

• Data analytics, machine learning and AI using programming languages such as Python and Julia
• Microsoft DevOps, Microsoft Visual Studio and Git
• Project controls/management in large construction projects or the nuclear industry
• Asset Suite 7+, Primavera P6, and/or Hexagon EcoSys
• Building and maintaining automated reports using SSRS and/or Power BI
