Duties

Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to effectively showcase offerings. Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional strategies that enhance sales efforts. Track sales metrics and prepare reports on performance against targets. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Customer service: Greet customers, understand their needs, and provide product information to help them make purchasing decisions.

Essential skills and qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building customer relationships. Sales and negotiation abilities to meet targets and close deals. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends*.
Sales: Actively sell appliances and related services like extended warranties, and process sales transactions. Product knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the features and benefits of various appliances and demonstrate them to customers. Store maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, arrange product displays, and ensure marketing materials are properly installed and displayed. Logistics: Assist with arranging product delivery and installation, and may reorder stock as needed. Also must be able to lift and help customers load appliances when necessary. Administration: Manage sales records and process payments.

Requirements

Proven experience in sales or a related field is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences. Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A high school diploma or equivalent; further education in business or marketing is an advantage. Must be able to lift and help customers load appliances when necessary from showroom to vehicle. Willingness to learn and adapt in a very fast-paced environment.
