Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Appliance Technician to join our Doctor Appliance Repair Halifax team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on appliance repair. As an Appliance Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various household appliances while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties

Diagnose and troubleshoot appliance issues using schematics and technical manuals. Perform repairs on a variety of appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC systems. Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure appliances are functioning efficiently. Assemble and install new appliances as needed, ensuring all safety standards are met. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance options. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used. Stay updated on the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.

Requirements

Proven experience in appliance repair with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various tools and equipment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Experience in assembly tasks related to appliance installation is preferred. A valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
