Seasonal employment available at

Vogel Honey Farm

from April or May to October 2026. Minimum 3-5 years beekeeping experience required. No minimum education required, however, some secondary education is an asset. Additional on-the-job-training will be provided. Pay: $16.50 per hour.

Duties include:

- building and repairing beekeeping equipment (using various tools)
- maintaining bee yards (cutting grass, collecting garbage)
- assessing and caring for bee colonies
- identifying queens and drones, safely handling queens
- adding/removing honey supers to/from hives
- extracting honey in our extraction facility
- feeding bee colonies in spring and fall
- wrapping hives for outdoor wintering
- cleaning and storing all beekeeping equipment
- loading/unloading, operating, and maintaining farm trucks and tractors

- problem-solving and basic decision-making in the bee yards

- maintaining accurate daily records, communicating with supervisor

The candidate must be mentally and physically fit, able to lift heavy loads, able to work well with others, attentive to detail, able to work efficiently under constant time-pressure, tolerant of bee venom, willing to work long hours regardless of weather conditions, committed and dependable.
