We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Apiary Technician to join our team. As an Apiary Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the apiary, ensuring the health and productivity of bee colonies. If you are passionate about sustainable agriculture and have a keen interest in beekeeping, we encourage you to apply and join our team in maintaining healthy and thriving bee populations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain or assist in the maintenance of bee keeping facilities

Preparing fields for bees

Placing bees in fields for pollination of crops

May monitor health of insects and provide care

May prepare insects for transportation

May operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment

Offseason - harvesting bees from hives

Preparing for shipment

Reviving shipment and allocating bees to new hives

Preparing equipment for shipping and receiving

Cleaning and repairing hives

Building new hives

Requirements:

Punctual

Valid driver license and comfortable to drive in Canada is an asset

Physically fit.

Good communication skills.

Able to lift 15 lbs.

A good team player and able to work independently.

Not afraid of bees

Able to work in all weather conditions

Attention to detail
