Job Summary:




We are looking for an individual to join our accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys consistent, structured work and takes pride in accuracy. If you enjoy working with numbers, solving problems and working with computers, then this role is for you. The AP Coordinator will play a key role in processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role involves the use of accounting software programs like Sage 300 and Doc-link.

Duties/Responsibilities:



Receives, reviews and verifies invoices for manager approval Code invoices to the appropriate GL Account. Resolve invoice discrepancies Corresponds with vendors and respond to inquiries Assist with vendor and account reconciliations Ensure SAGE 300 is updated regularly for accuracy of vendor contact and address information Perform other related accounts payable duties as required Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:



Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers Previous administrative or accounting experience (preferred) A diploma or degree in accounting or administration, or equivalent General knowledge of accounting processes and procedures Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SAGE 300 Excellent interpersonal skills Strong communications skills (written and verbal) Ability to work proactively both independently and in a team environment A solid work ethic with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner

Education and Experience:



Previous experience working within a medium sized organization Successful completion of secondary school; Associate's degree or relevant certification is considered an asset Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel Knowledge of SAGE is an asset

Physical Requirements:



Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
