About the Role:

Edmonton Radio, CISN Country 103.9 FM is currently seeking an Announcer, Swing-On -Air Talent to join their team based out of Edmonton. Are you a communicator who is creative, digitally savvy, and ready to take on a challenge? Are you a team player who is passionate about country music and our industry? If so, this part-time, maternity leave fill-in position could be for you!

You\'ll be working on things like:

• Creating fun, compelling, and topical content on air, social media and in videos.
• Using your curiosity to find out what our audience is passionate about.
• Using Social -Media to drive listenership and the brand.
• Promotional appearances where you fully engage in the event and bring listeners along for the ride.
• Ability to fill a show during absences, Voice Track shifts and be versatile to be an ambassador for CISN Country 103.9 FM.
• Have a will to create with ideas that you are fearless to implement for your show and the brand.

If you have the following...we want to hear from you!

• Post-secondary education in Broadcasting, Communications, Journalism or another relatable field preferred
• Previous on-air experience is an asset as there is a potential to contribute to on-air discussions.
• At least 3-5 years of on-air experience
• Availability Monday through Friday 5:30am-10:30am.
• Have a great attitude and loads of personality.
• Be able to read the day and finding interesting spins on the important stuff our listeners are talking about.
• Answering text and social media messages during show hours.
• Writing and editing daily newscasts.
• Audio editing for podcast and on-air rebroadcast.
• Feed our social media beast.
• Assist in building and sharing original content and leading in the connected world.
