Animal Care Attendant

to join our Referral Hospital in our Oncology Department. This

full-time

opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that directly attributes to the efficient and effective daily operations of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Doctors and RVTs with appointments & procedures. Including but not limited to: restraint for IV catheter placement, radiographs and chemotherapy Patient care: walking, feeding, Excellent customer service skills; a positive attitude and the ability for putting pets and pet parents at ease in a sensitive and emotional situations. General housekeeping duties; pet holding areas, treatment areas, and common areas Willingness to learn and take on additional duties as needed Ability to remain calm in stressful situations Ability to maintain our high standard of care for patients Ability to prioritize and having a team focus Animal handling experience is an asset
