Are you an experienced reporter and news anchor, brimming with new ideas and a desire to be #1?

Then CityNews Vancouver wants you to join our team as a full-time weekend anchor/producer!

What you will do\xe2\x80\xa6

• You\'ll research, write, line-up, and deliver newscasts on our radio brands
• Report on the latest news when it breaks, including chasing and conducting interviews with newsmakers and people in the community, and reporting in the field when necessary
• You\'ll set editorial direction for your shift and subsequent shifts
• You\'ll turn the best local content into web stories on our websites and social media
• You\'ll have a great working relationship with our partners around the country to ensure we showcase the best of CityNews
• You will lead from the bench in the newsroom to ensure our teams live our CityNews values

What you will bring\xe2\x80\xa6

• People rely on CityNews now more than ever, so we need a dependable, smart, news junkie who loves building newscasts as much as they love delivering them
• The successful candidate will have experience reading newscasts in a live environment, a background in reporting, and a honed newswriting style.
• Experience building newscasts, cutting audio for stories and reporting both inside the newsroom and in the field
• You follow CityNews on its digital platforms and have ideas for its growth
• A desire to provide the very best local news coverage in your market both on air and online
• You can roll with the speed and unpredictability of breaking news and thrive in an environment where no day is the same!
