Uses data systems to monitor analytical system performance, makes modifications, as needed, for changing requirements and improvements and reports results to clients and customers. Performs complex calibration and preventive maintenance of analytical equipment and methods. Provides implementation and qualification of new analytical equipment and methods. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.The purpose of this job is to provide reliable analytical information using appropriate analytical tools with interpretation of results in consultation with manufacturing and engineering. Through the use of analytical knowledge and tools, the role exists to support multiple businesses and functions with routine, non-routine, advanced and complex analysis. The role also requires excellent analytical trouble-shooting and problem solving skills to help resolve plant issues and possess strong analytical knowledge for development of new analytical methods. This role works closely with Environment Operations, Energy Systems, Wells, Maintenance, Polyethylene, Hydrocarbons, Prentiss, operations, on-line analyzer, maintenance and EH&S businesses and personnel.Team player that is willing to share knowledge and ideas.
