The Opportunity!

The Analytical Lead reports to a local Manager but works on the National Analytics Team. The successful candidate will be committed to completing high quality, client ready work. They are continually developing their knowledge of the group benefits industry, gaining insight into the organization, and work done by other practices. The incumbent will be responsible for providing analytical and problem solving support to consultants and other members of the team.

At HUB we work with a broad range of clients in a variety of industry sectors, and the National Analytics Team represents an integral part of the client management process. They are relied upon to support the local consulting team in gathering data, perform financial analysis, and review documentation related to clients\xe2\x80\x99 life, disability, extended health, and dental care programs.

A day in the life -

Providing strong analytical and technical support on clients of all sizes

Preparing client facing reports such as renewals and experience reports and in accordance with applicable reporting schedules and reporting templates

Peer reviewing and providing feedback on work for team members

Mentoring and training new analysts that join the team

Maintaining and updating client files

Providing excellent customer service to the local consulting teams via telephone or email to assess and fulfil their employee benefits requirements

Interact with the local consulting teams to discuss the project and results, as required

Assists with special projects, as required

What you will bring to the team -

Succeeding as an Analytical Lead will require the following core qualifications and skills:

Post-Secondary Education and/or related courses in group benefits (CEBS) or actuarial studies

Minimum 3 years experience in the group insurance industry, with prior consulting and/or insurance background preferred

LLQP an asset

Solid knowledge of Canadian benefits industry including group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plans

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Strong time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills

Strong team player and ability to work independently

Ability to exercise initiative and follow up skills
