Job Description

We are seeking an Analytical Laboratory Assistant to support daily operations in a laboratory focused on cannabis testing. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience with real-world analytical instrumentation in a developing laboratory environment.

You will work closely alongside myself to help build and refine proper laboratory workflows from the ground up. We are currently set up to perform microbial testing on cannabis flower, edibles, and other cannabis products. In the near future, we will be receiving our Waters TQ Mass Spectrometer with UPLC, and we will need assistance with the setup, operation, and ongoing use of this system once it is installed.

Together, we will work on developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), purchasing additional laboratory equipment, and setting up and validating that equipment as the lab continues to grow. This role is hands-on and evolving, making it ideal for someone who is curious, detail oriented, and interested in learning how an analytical laboratory is built.

Sample Preparation Analytical Instrument Operation Accurate Record Keeping Instrument Care & Routine Maintenance Understanding regulated lab environments Basic Data Handling Laboratory Safety Skills Strong Attention to Detail Ability to follow written procedures precisely Clear communication with team members Experience in LC-MS/MS, UPLC / HPLC, Gas Chromatography, ICP-MS, and Microbial Testing.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
