POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Manager, Trade Solutions, the Analyst/Sr. Analyst brings knowledge and experience of a diverse range of Public Markets strategies. The Analyst/Sr. Analyst is responsible for providing portfolio management and trading support to Public Markets Portfolio Managers and Traders, such as analytics, execution support, and investment support in Bloomberg AIM, the order management system. The Analyst/Sr. Analyst actively monitors Bloomberg AIM and liaises with other departments to answer inquiries and resolve any issues that may come up. The Analyst/Sr. Analyst works closely with the Public Markets Operations team and supports the Public Markets department, as may be delegated, from time to time.

WHAT YOU BRING


  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in a large asset management or investment firm

  • Excellent knowledge of Bloomberg AIM and experience in supporting Front, Middle and Back Office workflows

  • Strong knowledge of diverse investment strategies and financial instruments in the public markets

  • Good understanding of trade lifecycle and settlement in global markets, including emerging and frontier markets

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced excel skills, including the ability to build macros

  • Service oriented with a focus on responding to client needs efficiently and accurately

  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities to meet tight deadlines

  • Energetic and enthusiastic team player, capable of working both independently and in a team environment

  • Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently and accurately within a high-pressure environment

  • Flexibility to work in shifts

  • Working towards a professional designation such as CFA is preferred


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Completes daily ABOR-IBOR position reconciliation before trading begins

  • Ensures cash upload files from SCD are successfully processed in AIM

  • Monitors and resolves trade flow issues from AIM to SCD

  • Acts as the single point of contact for all queries and issues related to Bloomberg AIM across Public Markets and Investment Operations

  • Liaises between Public Markets and other BCI teams as well as with Bloomberg Support to resolve any issues related to Bloomberg AIM

  • Assists in setting up new accounts, counterparties, and securities in AIM

  • Develops and implements new reports for other users, as required

  • Continually acquires and enhances knowledge of Bloomberg AIM functionalities to support new Public Markets investment initiatives

  • Acts as \xe2\x80\x9cchange agent\xe2\x80\x9d, taking initiative to facilitate automation and process improvements within existing business processes, develops new workflows and procedures

  • As Bloomberg AIM SME, responsible for training new IBOR Support Desk team members as well as new Bloomberg AIM users

  • Works with internal team as well as service providers to successfully implement new or improved workflows and processes

  • Represents the IBOR Support Desk as a SME in projects

  • Actively adheres to compliance and risk management policies, and participates in business continuity planning

  • Performs other responsibilities, as delegated by Manager, Trade Solutions
