About This Opportunity
Reporting to the IBT Manager Transportation Operations, the Analyst, Transportation Systems & Payables is responsible for managing the pick-up and delivery execution of orders to support a regional area (East, Central or West) of the CCR (Sparkling) business. The Analyst, Transportation Systems & Payables is responsible for account payable / receivable , POs creation, managing all carrier activity and performance within their assigned region and is accountable for managing the freight expenses to budget for that region. . These tasks will be accomplished primarily using third party carriers supported by knowledge and application of Transportation Management System(BluJay) and SAP
System administration (i.e. rate entry/maintenance, weekly fuel)
Responsible for transportation planning activities process for all orders from CCCBL Production Centers to Distribution Centers and or 3PL Warehouses in relevant region (East, Central & West with approx. 85,000 orders per annum at an annual spend of $54M)
Responsible to ensure achievement of annual objectives related to PTA (primary tender acceptance), OTD/OPT (on time delivery/on time pickup), load optimization, PI savings, etc. for responsible region
Support Manager Transportation Operations on project work related to IBT optimization, EDI compliance, etc.
Ensure all regional orders for the Transportation team are processed and executed on a timely basis
Primary interface for cross functional communication and problem solving required with Supply Planning, Distribution center staff and Sales teams for responsible region
Work with IBT Manager Transportation Operations to analyze trends affecting customer order fulfillment, determine root cause & corrective actions required, and make recommendations to management for review and appropriate action
Interact proactively with customers to ensure they receive on time, error free delivery performance. Maintain an exceptional relationship by responding to special requests, rush orders and high volume of orders with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism.
Work with supply planning to ensure orders are managed and adjusted to facilitate optimizing trailer loading
Work with supply planning to determine most cost-effective routing and by maximizing pallet count and or weight limits.
Responsible for supporting regular carrier performance through programs and processes developed to facilitate collaboration and improve cost, service & risk compliance.
Identify and implement the most cost effective distribution chain to enhance profitability for the channel
Support managing the relationship, performance and pricing with transportation providers for this channel
Research and resolve issues with customers, carriers and related internal business partners
Ensure that defined Escalation Processes are followed across the department;
Train with other planners on each of their regions to ensure each planner is fully cross-trained for vacation and absente coverage
Qualifications
Strong skills in the areas of negotiating, communication, and presentation
Strong skills in the areas of analytical thinking, process & project management
Minimum 3-5 years related work experience, preferably in a consumer packaged goods industry
Solid knowledge of TMS applications and SAP
Knowledge of elements that make up the supply chain and the interrelationship between these elements.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications
Strong knowledge of transportation industry and provider options and capabilities
College or Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
