We are currently recruiting for the position of Analyst, Trade Support within the Investment Operations Department. The Trade Support team is accountable for supporting all Public Market and OTC Investments. The group is cross-asset and provides support for a range of products including cash equities, fixed income, FX, listed derivatives, and various OTC derivatives. These products are represented and serviced across multiple investment systems including Bloomberg (listed products), Murex (OTC products), SimCorp (listed and cash products) and Cadis (security and price master).
The Analyst’s primary responsibilities include ensuring trades are represented correctly in all systems and validating that end-of-day listed instrument prices are properly loaded to Accounting and Performance systems. Other responsibilities include developing and documenting business requirements, performing ad hoc business/data analysis, participating in related operational projects, and supporting daily data related inquiries from multiple business units.
  • Please note that this an end-of-day role with expected hours being 11:30am – 7:30pm
Role-Specific Accountabilities
  • Performs End-of-Day pricing validation to ensure required market data is accurate and instrument valuations are correct. Validates pricing data using established exception handling tools and procedures
  • Ensures that all trading activity is correctly represented in Investment and Accounting systems at End-of-Day
  • Manages static data and content quality in applicable systems to meet end user reporting requirements
  • Assists Manager & Associate in implementing key process improvements. Expectation to identify gaps and propose solutions to issues
  • Escalates data and content issues on a timely basis. Takes ownership to resolve issues within the bounds of assigned authorities and communicates openly to stakeholders who are dependent on data for their risk, investment research and performance measurement processes.
  • Supports investment trading strategies through portfolio setups and maintenance.
  • Document’s data and business requirements
  • Contributes to the development, implementation and testing of processes and procedures. Identifies opportunities to continually improve current processes, controls, data quality and/or efficiency.
  • Must also be willing to take on other ad-hoc duties and projects as required


Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge/Competencies/Capabilities
  • Willingness to work End-of-Day hours
  • Working knowledge of derivatives products is preferred
  • Experience in an Investment Operations environment with emphasis on supporting trading activity, pricing validation, and resolving derivative valuation issues
  • Technical and analytical skills, ability to think through problems, assess a variety of factors and recommend solutions for business process improvement
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel considered an asset
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Strong desire to streamline and improve existing processes
  • Can readily adapt to rapidly changing investment, business, and technology environments
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Working towards completion of CFA or financial designation considered an asset
