About the Position:



As the Analyst, the successful candidate will work alongside Europro's VP, Asset Management & Investment. The candidate will be actively involved in various projects and will collaborate with all aspects of the business.

Tasks & Responsibilities:



o Review and screen potential acquisitions opportunities

o Financial modeling and underwriting of new investment opportunities and existing investments

o using Argus and Excel

o Assist in performing acquisition due diligence, including reviewing leases, contracts, historical operating statements, etc.

o Create investment materials for investor approval during acquisition

o Manage the acquisitions pipeline report

o Perform market research on supply/demand fundamentals, economic trends, comparable sales and lease transactions, etc.

o Assist with quarterly investor reporting

o Understand the Canadian real estate market with ability to critically evaluate investment opportunities

o Main point of contact for third party reports

o Assist with property financing and refinancing efforts

o Prepare in-depth comparable sales and lease analysis

o Review and analyze commercial leases

o Support asset management with annual budgets and ad hoc projects

o Work alongside property management to actively monitor and assist with property needs

o Run lease analysis including NER calculations for new and renewing leases

o Track lease maturities and lease deals performed at the property

o Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:



o 1-2 years of related experience in real estate

o Post-secondary degree in either business or a quantitative discipline.

o Advanced knowledge of Excel required (will be tested) as well as PowerPoint

o Enjoys working in a busy environment and can demonstrate high level of creativity, attention to detail, and adaptability

o Strong interpersonal skills, and able to build relationships with stakeholders quickly, as well the ability to effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale both verbally and in written form.

o Exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to stay detailed orientated while juggling multiple projects.

o Good understanding of key real estate value drivers, risks and opportunities

o Self-starter with the ability to take direction.

o Experience with AE is considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
