Summary

A challenging and interesting opportunity for a motivated individual within the Bell Corporate Security \xe2\x80\x93 Information Security team.

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Information Security Assurance, the Supplier Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that projects undertaken by the organization understand and adhere to information security and privacy requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with project teams to assess compliance with Bell\xe2\x80\x99s Information Security requirements and best practices
  • Conduct Supplier Security Assessments for the determination of information security risks and required mitigation
  • Raise awareness, educate project team\xe2\x80\x99s members of security requirements, and provide technical guidance when required to facilitate compliance
  • Document issues and present formal reports to project teams and/or senior management
  • Ensure that all projects receive timely updates and all requests are updated within the team\xe2\x80\x99s tracking tools
  • Support the further development of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s information security policies and procedures
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts with suppliers to ensure the inclusion of specific security requirements.
  • Develop and maintain internal partnerships with Procurement, Legal and business unit teams.
  • Provide executive level reporting on security assurance programs.
Critical Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years Information technology with large enterprises.
  • Experience in vendor assessments and contract negotiations.
  • Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other similar credentials is an asset.
  • Bilingual English and French (written and oral) is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 27001/27002, or other similar security frameworks such as ITIL, ISO, CoBiT, NIST, TOGAF.
  • Ability to balance risks to the company against requirements of individual projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent oral, written, and group communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, work well in a demanding dynamic environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure; strong analytical / problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and good business judgement.
  • Excellent negotiating, decision making, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Strong team player; demonstrates initiative; has a strong desire to succeed.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and flexible with the ability to adapt to a complex and quickly-changing environment.
  • Advanced computer skills: proficient in MS Office, and ability to quickly learn proprietary systems.
  • Ability to be decisive, remain calm, and cope with various levels of stress.
Working Conditions
  • Must pass a security clearance check including criminal record check.
  • Must be able to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance.
