The opportunity



The Analyst - Sustainability and ESG Strategic Advisory supports the development and implementation of sustainability, nature, and climate strategies for clients in North America and abroad. This role involves data analysis, preparing presentations, and providing strategic sustainability and ESG advice while working with public and private organizations. Strong analytical, communication, and consulting project coordination skills are required, along with a commitment to ongoing learning in sustainability and ESG.

What you can expect to do here:



Contribute to the delivery of challenging and impactful Sustainability, Nature and Climate strategy projects with a strong focus on Sustainability strategy & transformation advisory projects, for public and private clients in various industries (Real estate and buildings, Energy, Mining, Financial institutions, Transportation, Manufacturing, Governments) and regions (primarily North America, potentially other regions like Europe, Africa or Oceania). Support the delivery of high quality, strategic and executive level analysis and client-ready deliverables, presentations and workshops (thorough knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel is required) Conduct critical analyses of qualitative and quantitative data to develop valuable insights and meet client needs. Provide guidance and strategic advice to clients as well as colleagues on leading practices, standards, and trends, incorporating this knowledge into consulting projects. Contribute to multiple client projects simultaneously, manage time effectively, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Collaborate remotely between geographical areas and platforms. Support to business development efforts and proposal development with the team leadership. Collaborate with technical experts from WSP's global network on project execution and proposal writting. Continuous improvement: stay updated on the latest developments in Sustainability and ESG The successful candidate will support client-facing teams in the delivery of our projects nationally. Candidates must be passionate about climate change, self-motivated and autonomous, collaborative and able to produce high quality work products.

What you bring to WSP



Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, sustainability, finance, economics or related field required. Master's degree in related field preferred. Bilingualism is required as the individual will participate in national initiatives requiring communication with English and French speaking colleagues. 0-3+ years' experience in strategy consulting or related field. Successful experience with a leading global consulting firm is greatly appreciated. Excitement and passion about Sustainability, ESG, Nature and Climate change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills - you're able to easily articulate ideas and build relationships with colleagues and clients through presentations and other forms of engagement. Great team player and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary and international team. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment, finding solutions for our internal and external stakeholders and clients. Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Great capacity to learn fast and keep pace in a rapidly changing environment.
