Now Hiring - Analyst, Shareholder Advisory

Reporting to the Head of Operations, Investor Solutions, the Analyst, Shareholder Advisory will develop strong relationships at the senior management level of our client\xe2\x80\x99s organization to ensure that we are capitalizing on opportunities in delivering proxy related and Information agent services along with custom reporting solutions and asset recovery services. They will lead and deliver the full suite of services to each of their clients and ensure profitability, a high rate of client satisfaction, while mitigating any risk.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assume responsibility for leading and strengthening the client relationship.

Develop positive relationships within multiple functions at client organization.

Work closely with the product development and business management of all product areas to help craft solutions to meet client needs.

Alert senior management to real or potential issues.

Manage the process of onboarding new business; ensure complete client documentation is in place, forms and requests for shareholder lists and submitted, and billing is setup

Day to day direct interface with:

Transfer Agents,

Printers,

Broadridge and other mail houses,

Trustees,

Client advisors and investment bankers,

Client legal counsel,

Global Depositories and their participants (Banks, brokerage firms, custodians etc.)

Issuer/ corporate clients. Interactions with clients are usually by email, video or by phone.

Assists corporate clients with the preparation of Shareholder meetings by gathering historic information, conducting a trend analysis on past AGMs, providing them with a competitive analysis from an ESG perspective, and identifying any issues that may surface

Review Management Information Circulars and provide any suggestions on best practices in disclosing information, updating contact information and process information

Design and update customized election and/or proxy instruction forms

Coordinate the mailings and distribution of meeting material, management circulars etc.

Coordinate and advise clients and finance of advance funds required for printing and mailings and other applicable services

Advise on corporate actions from an operational perspective and coordinate activities with all stakeholders

Design, prepare and deliver customized daily projected vote, consent and tender reports as well as special/ customized analytic reports that clients may request

Ensure that all reporting deliverables are accurate and delivered on time to all stakeholders

Liaise with broker and custodian back offices to identify tender and consent election information

Understand Anti-Money Laundering (\xe2\x80\x9cAML\xe2\x80\x9d) and compliance program requirements

Be knowledgeable of all existing products and services to effectively promote and champion all offerings

Provide input on operational work process improvements related to departmental work activities

Responding to general and non- standard inquiries and resolving client issues but will escalate contentious or sensitive issues to the Relationship Managers

Complete transactions seamlessly by delivering all process requirements and authorizations to stakeholders.

Leverage off of personal and group experience, use sound judgment and decision making in creating and customizing an approach to each unique proxy solicitation and information agent mandate

Assist and backup Analyst, proxy and Sr. Client Manager as required

Co-ordinate internal & external activities to ensure superior service and exceeding quality standards.

Represent the Company professionally.

Assist with development of thought leadership pieces and content for development with other team members.

Assist with reviewing sources for new business \xe2\x80\x93 i.e. press releases and SEDAR filings; research opportunities.

Ensures timely billing of any services

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proactive with a highly developed curiosity and a strong attention to detail.

Can juggle multiple deliverables and learn on the fly

Eager to learn and is resourceful

3 to 4 years of proven experience in a similar or client facing, relationship management role within the Financial services or Investment industry experience is required (Custodian/broker back office/ Investment Management/ TA business / ESG Advisor or Corporate Actions, Proxy Solicitation)

Strong interpersonal skills, decision making, and problem solving skills

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with internal and external clients. Proven track record in understanding clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs and developing the appropriate solutions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, advanced Word and Excel, intermediate PowerPoint and/or Google suite of products.

Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Bilingual English & French is an asset.
