We are currently recruiting an Analyst to join the Funds Operations team in Investment Operations, reporting to the Associate, Funds Operations, to provide transactional and accounting support for Private Equity Funds, Secondaries and Co-Investments. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about problem solving, solutions oriented and comfortable dealing with heavy volume, tight deadlines, and complex transactions. You must be a self-starter who works well under pressure. You must have strong interpersonal and business relationship skills and enjoy working across Core Services and the Investment Departments.

Job-Specific Accountabilities:
  • Entering trade tickets and accounting entries for capital calls and distributions
  • Ensuring figures agree with transacted amounts and legal agreements, and appropriate authorizations are in place
  • Set up and maintain securities in the system
  • Assist in the quarterly valuation preparation and ensure valuation adjustments are accurately recorded
  • Ensuring timely completion and accuracy of daily transactions and holdings reconciliations
  • Communicating with external Fund Managers and Internal Business Partners, including monitoring a shared inbox
  • Tracking the receipt of quarterly financial statements, tax statements and other documents as requested
  • Ensure process documentation is kept up to date
  • Identifying irregular activities and issues while assisting the Associate or Manager in determining corrective actions
  • Maintain an ongoing effective working relationship with internal investment staff and external Fund Managers to ensure issues are discussed and resolved, financial controls and reporting requirements are met
  • Continually strive for operational excellence; seek ways to streamline processes and create operational efficiencies
  • Prioritize workload in a timely fashion to meet deadlines
  • Special projects and other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • University degree in Finance, Commerce, or other relevant discipline
  • 1 to 3 years relevant work experience in Investment Operations or Fund Administration
  • Good understanding of private equity funds is an asset
  • Knowledge of Investran and/or SimCorp Dimension is considered an asset
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfortable learning new systems
  • Team player who enjoys working in a high performing culture and is open to evolving and changing priorities
  • Willingness to actively contribute to a positive and highly effective team culture
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high degree of professionalism
  • Solid prioritization and organizations skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self starter, flexible and adaptable
