DescriptionOur client in Brampton who is a large retailer is looking for a Analyst (Pricing & Promotions) to join their team!This Analyst position features:
-Hourly wage: $25-$30/hour

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm or 8:00am-4:00pm. Hybrid 4 days on site & 1 day work from home!Responsibilities:
Promotion Planning
-Maintaining / updating / communication of the Merchandising Calendar & Instructions as required.
-Assist in creating the weekly flyer (i.e. front page, rotation and analytics to support the decision)
-Conduct promotion specific historical analysis to assist in item selection, provide recommendations on most profitable category to highlight and appropriate price points
-Monitor execution and results of all promotions and in store programs
Promotion Execution
-Proofing weekly flyer to ensure accuracy of items planned
-Verify the flow and accuracy of data in various category ad planners
-Confirm planning timelines have been met by category team
-Reporting - run weekly flyer sales post-mortem, highlighting opportunities for improvement in future ads
-Competitive review - monitor competitor ad activity, highlight issues and opportunitiesRequirements:-2-5 years' experience in retail operations and/or merchandising planning/ promotions and flyer planning
-Intermediate technical skills - with MS Office (esp. Excel; VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables and PowerPoint)
-Strong attention to detail, spelling and good grammar
-Excellent communication skills
-Post-secondary education - Business, Finance, Economics preferred
