At AIMCo, our Investment Performance, Analytics and Reporting (IPAR) team plays a vital role in delivering independent, accurate, and timely investment performance, analytics, and attribution analysis for our clients. We work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure a deep understanding of investment strategies, helping clients achieve their performance goals.
We are seeking an Analyst, Investment Performance, Analytics & Reporting to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll leverage your analytical, research, and reporting skills to evaluate client-specific performance, cost, and fund data, identify trends, and present insightful reports to internal and external stakeholders. You'll also provide timely and accurate performance and attribution analysis while managing priorities and adhering to deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:Ensure all reporting deadlines are met on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Prepare and verify client reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
Recommend and implement improvements to reporting processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Analyze and develop client-centric performance commentaries.
Build working relationships with investment teams to understand new products, strategies, and investment styles as they relate to performance measurement, risk, and client needs.
Collaborate with fund managers to gather requirements for report development and analysis.
Use internal investment systems to develop and test performance, attribution, exposure, and risk reports.
Support departmental projects and initiatives.
Our Ideal Candidate:Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a quantitative field such as mathematics or computer science with a finance component.
1+ years of experience in the pension or investment management space.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with SQL, Python, and Power BI is preferred.
Solid understanding of investment valuation, investment theory, accounting, financial markets, and instruments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Proven attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to perform analysis, resolve issues, and implement process improvements.
Working towards or holding CFA, CIPM, or FRM designation (desirable).
