The Opportunity

Altus Group is currently seeking a candidate in the position of an Analyst to join our International Valuation and Advisory division.

The Analyst will work within a dynamic team gaining a wide array of experiences in the business of valuation consulting for an international client base. The role will gain exposure to investment managed services, appraisal, appraisal review, appraisal management, and financial due diligence relating to commercial real estate assets. The opportunity exists to gain valuable experience within a progressive role, working with an advisory team on institutional grade real estate assets.

The Analyst will be responsible for the collection, analysis and organization of real estate data, which is to be used for valuation consulting services. In addition, the role will work closely with senior staff providing research and consulting support for key assignments.

What you will be doing:

Learn and work with the team to support institutional clients\' acquisitions, asset management and lending needs for their commercial real estate portfolios.

Preparing accurate analysis or portions of appraisal reports using the latest market information obtained from various internal/external partners. Extensive senior co\xe2\x80\x90worker collaboration is anticipated.

Developing cash flow projections to be used in the appraisal and managed services process, using industry standard software such as Argus Enterprise or other appropriate software.

Conducting research and collecting data from both internal database and third party sources with respect to market rental rates, comparable building transactions and general market knowledge.

Ensuring data collected as part of on\xe2\x80\x90going assignments is entered accurately into the company database in a timely fashion.

Continuously upgrading the level of knowledge regarding market and industry trends

Accurately completing time sheets on a daily basis ensuring non-billable time and recoverable expenses are clearly outlined.

What you will have:

Recent graduate with either a university or college degree, preferably in Commerce, Real Estate, Economics, or Finance or related experience in commercial appraisal/real estate valuation

Related work experience is an asset

Excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 written, verbal, and oral presentation

Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license is required

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel (VLookup, Pivot Tables, Etc.)

Basic skills in creating financial models (i.e. Excel, Argus, etc.)

Excellent research, quantitative and analytical skills

Ability to work in a team and independently

Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness

Ability to take initiative and be resourceful;

Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and ethics

Availability to work flexible hours.
