Analyst, Infrastructure, Finance and Investment

Summary

Reporting to the Director, Infrastructure Finance and Investments, the Analyst will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the financing process throughout the development stage on project pursuits across Canada and the USA. Analysts are responsible for progressing the project financing workstream for specific transactions and analyzing investment opportunities to ensure they are consistent with Graham Capital\'s strategy and return expectations. This may involve providing financial advisory services to Graham and its partners as well as supporting the Graham business corporately. Analysts will be expected to perform complex analysis and financial modelling to determine the most efficient financing solutions and concisely convey these findings to other members of the team.

As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For:

  • Working with senior team members to develop and maintain robust and user-friendly financial models using financial modelling best practices.
  • Assisting in structuring competitive and innovative financing solutions on projects with assistance from other senior financing and development team members.
  • Performing financial analysis and due diligence of potential equity investment opportunities.
  • Review bid documentation and prepare high-quality financial responses to formal tenders.
  • Building and updating internal tools, such as cash flow models, equity analysis, resourcing models, bid budgets, and historic data capture, to be utilized by the investments business.
  • Developing and updating marketing documents for the team to be used in partnering discussions and client presentations
  • Maintaining robust file management procedures and actively sharing information within the Investments team.

Education, Experience and Knowledge
  • A degree in required, with business, engineering, and mathematics preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a financial advisory, corporate finance, consulting or project financing role is required.
  • Exposure to project financing, infrastructure investments and/or P3 experience would be a definite asset.
  • Exposure to project finance modelling would be an asset.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite is required, and experience with Excel macros and VBA is a strong asset.
  • A highly analytical mindset is required.
Working Conditions
  • This role has the potential for overtime and weekend work.
  • Most of the work is traditionally completed in the office, however there is flexibility for remote working 2 days a week.
  • Travel may be required from time to time.
