Our expectations
In collaboration with his/her manager and the various business partners, the incumbent must ensure an optimal level of inventory for the product categories and stores for which he/she is responsible.
Your role
Participate in the planning and execution of marketing strategies for the categories under his/her responsibility
Issue, analyze, adjust and maintain sales forecasts of products under his/her responsibility using JDA Demand software
Establish promotional forecasts for the product category under his/her responsibility
In preparation for the sales season or new product, define purchasing needs and plan inventory levels required in stores and distribution centers. Evaluate and adjust as required.
Define and maintain procurement parameters related to the corporate inventory management strategy while supporting product marketing initiatives under his responsibility
Take charge of solving complex problems and ensure that the root cause is identified and an effective solution is implemented.
Establish processes for standardization between different business units
Ensure continuous improvement in support of operational and interdepartmental teams
Support and demonstrate positive leadership through the department\'s activities
Support, coordinate and prioritize the activities of team members to ensure the completion of projects
Train and ensure continuous learning of team members in support of his leader
Track inventory levels and collaborate with internal partners to develop strategies.
Ensure excellent collaboration with the business partners responsible for marketing
Coordinate the different activities with stakeholders
Perform the analysis and monitoring of performance indicators (level of products in stock, accuracy of sales forecasts, turnover rate, inventory budget, dashboard, product statuses, etc.)
Participate in a collaborative cycle of review and planning of sales, inventory and supply (S&OP/CPFR)
The qualifications we are looking for
Bachelor\'s degree (or equivalent) in operations research, operations management, engineering, statistics or other relevant discipline
3 to 7 years of relevant experience in demand planning and inventory management
Good ability to analyze data to make recommendations
Good knowledge of technological tools such as MS Excel and Access (knowledge of JDA is considered an asset)
Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team
Sense of organization, rigour, autonomy, dynamism and attention to detail
Well-developed business acumen and sense of urgency
Ability to work in a changing environment
Knowledge of retail and/or distribution (an asset)
