PURPOSE OF POSTITION

The Analyst II (IS) role will utilize their technology background to help meet Departmental service level objectives. Analyst II demonstrates proficiency in providing user support by responding to customer calls and correspondence to ensure customers are well satisfied. Using established analytical skills, assists in troubleshooting and examining systems to identify technical issues and guide to root cause. With limited supervision, Analysts will gain insights on achieving operational excellence, including but not limited to: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL); Software Development Lifecycle (SCLC) and deliverables within the Project Management Office (PMO).

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Demonstrated ability to document results of analysis completed using various methods, for example; flowchart; business process designs; system documentation.
  • Improves current operating systems by studying practices, procedures, and problems; identifying problems; designing modifications and improvements.
  • Executes ITIL procedures in the area of Problem Management; Change Management and Incident Management with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and how responsible work products support product development.
  • Demonstrates established analysis and critical thinking skills, able to analyze impacts of change or impact within their given area of expertise.
  • Ability to manage problems of increasing complexity, ensuring work priorities are managed effectively and expectations are communicated.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills while working with internal business customers and key stakeholders.
  • May be required to work irregular hours (weekends, evenings, overnight).
  • May be required to work 12 hour shifts.
  • May be required to perform oncall duties as required.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities; managing and communicating interdepartmental and management expectations.
  • Provides a moderate level of input into system or process availability, in accordance with procedures and policies to achieve optimal performance in the area of expertise.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline (preferred)
  • High school Diploma and previous job experience in a similar position can be considered.
  • 1-3 years Demonstrated experience collaborating with peers, superiors and members of cross functional teams.
  • 1-3 years' Experience collaborating with a team both locally and virtually.
  • 1-3 years' Experience partnering with others to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • 1-3 years' Experience in similar roles with demonstrated analytical skills.
  • 1-3 years Demonstrated history of responsibility to resolve progressively more complex situations.
  • With limited supervision, Analysts will gain insights on achieving operational excellence, including but not limited to: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL); Software Development Lifecycle (SCLC) and deliverables within the Project Management Office (PMO). (Medium proficiency)
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, works across department to achieve goals. (High proficiency)
  • CompTIA A+ within 1-1/2 Yrs Preferred.

Management Conductor Program:
